Where’s Kansas?

Editor’s note: This post was written by Malorie Bankhead. She is spending her summer interning with the Certified Angus Beef ® brand’s public relations team.

In the third grade, I was affectionately referred to as “Dorothy” by my peers because I played the lead role in my elementary school’s production of The Wizard of Oz! Who knew it was the foreshadowing of an amazing travel experience for my pre-career life (luckily not involving any tornadoes. Yet!).

Over the last few weeks and during my internship here in Wooster, Ohio with the Certified Angus Beef ® brand, I have been fortunate to travel to five states promoting the brand I have come to love. We traveled to Oklahoma, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and several places in Ohio. It’s been a whirlwind but I savored every minute!

There were radio and television appearances to promote the brand, grocery store samplings to educate consumers, licensee trainings to spread brand awareness, a wine festival in Cleveland to sample the perfect pairing, and of course the usual social media-ing about the brand have helped expand my experiences!

It was about three weeks ago that I said to myself, “No, Toto Certified Clyde, I’m not in Kansas anymore. But wait, I never was in Kansas to begin with!

Sin-steer-ly,
