Fare Thee Well: When Chefs Head South For Winter

Grand Cayman Island

The Culinary Center’s Chef Ashley Breneman and Chef Tony Biggs are headed south to the renowned Cayman Cookout, Jan. 10-14. They will also join a collective of North America’s culinary talent at The Chef’s Table dinner. The event will be hosted by YARA Global Steakhouse.

Chef Tony is in a self-proclaimed state of “wicked excitement” for the trip, and Ohio’s frigid weather may be partly to blame. Then again, who wouldn’t want to step into the sunny island atmosphere of the Caymans in January?

“It’s the sand, the ocean, the passion, the smells of the food … everything!” Tony says, and he can’t wait to meet up with YARA’s Chef Dylan Benoit.

Island excitement has also reached Chef Ashley Breneman. She’s thrilled to be cast in the Chef’s Table dinner rock star lineup. “YARA has such a great reputation for amazing food, and I have so much respect for Chef Dylan and his team! The atmosphere paired with a menu loaded with Certified Angus Beef ® brand cuts can’t be beat. I can’t wait!”

YARA Global Steakhouse, Cayman IslandsYARA founder and Chef’s Table host Dyan Benoit has been living in the Cayman Islands since 2010. Hailing from Canada, he’s a world traveler, and his experiences in Asia and South America played a crucial role in YARA’s development. The restaurant features local ingredients and international influences to curate a unique dining experience. Chef’s Table participants will get a taste of all that and more.

Dinner ticket holders will experience six world-class chefs (including Chef Sean Brasel of Meat Market) and five extraordinary courses on one amazing night: Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018. Ready to go? Contact YARA for ticket information.
